Good
morning everyone-
It
is that time of year again when Oneida County lakes are experiencing
blue-green algae blooms. At this time we have confirmed
reports of blue-green algae outbreaks on the following lakes:
Pelican
Lake
Lake
Nokomis
Sand
Lake
This
is not an all-inclusive list, there may be other lakes experiencing
algae-blooms that I am not aware of. I have attached
a wonderful document that explains what blue-green algae is,
what it looks like, helpful tips, and links to even more
information! If you suspect a blue-green algae bloom on your lake, please
contact Jim Kreitlow, James.Kreitlow@wisconsin.gov,
or Gina LaLiberte, Gina.LaLiberte@wisconsin.gov.
Stay
safe everyone!
